Job Summary
The Account Payable Officer is responsible for managing accounts payable processes including verifying liabilities, processing payments, managing tax documentation, and supporting financial reporting. The role ensures all transactions are executed with accuracy and in compliance with internal policies, tax regulations, and reporting timelines. This position requires attention to detail, strong understanding of the Revenue Code, and experience working with ERP systems.
Responsibilities
Accounts Payable and Payment Processing:
- Audit and record AP liabilities and expense transactions through the PO system with complete and verified supporting documents.
- Process payment requests accurately and on time in accordance with company procedures.
- Handle cash advances and perform reconciliations of A/R and cash advance clearance.
- Record accounting adjustments as needed to ensure accuracy of financial data.
Month-End Closing and Accruals:
- Prepare monthly AP accruals for expenses under assigned responsibility.
- Maintain clear support schedules for monthly financial statements.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of all month-end account balances related to payables.
Tax and Compliance Reporting:
- Prepare withholding tax reports and file PND forms on a monthly basis.
- Prepare VAT purchase reports and submit Form Por.30 in compliance with Thai tax regulations.
- Ensure that tax entries comply with the Revenue Code and internal control standards.
Document Management and Coordination:
- Maintain contracts and assignment-related documents from internal departments.
- Collaborate with Procurement, Treasury, and internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth payment processing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in accounts payable; experience in listed or public companies is a plus.
- Strong understanding of Thai VAT and withholding tax regulations.
- Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems for AP transactions is preferred.
- Accuracy and attention to detail in processing large volumes of financial data.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
